Yang Kee Global Meeting 2010

YANG Kee Logistics have successfully organised its first ever Global Meeting in Jun 2010. The event was hosted at Singapore’s second integrated resort, the Marina Bay Sands.
Over 20 business partners from Asia, Middle East and America were invited to Singapore for this 3-day conference, which includes a series of enriching networking and sharing sessions to foster further partnerships and explore new business opportunities. Furthermore, all overseas partners had an opportunity to visit Yang Kee premises in Singapore and not forgetting, enjoy the vibrant night life and local delicacies.
The Global Meeting will be an annual event of Yang Kee logistics, proudly organised by Yang Kee Global Office.
Yang Kee plans $45m chemical logistics hub
9 Feb 2010YANG Kee Logistics Pte Ltd announced yesterday its plans to invest $45 million in a new one-stop chemical logistics hub at Jurong Pier Road.
It awarded BBR Holdings Ltd a $42 million contract to construct Phase 1 of the new hub, with the remaining $3 million to be spent on equipment and technology.
The five-storey hub with a site area of four hectares will centralise current operations from Yang Kee's six warehouses.
Expected to be completed in early 2011, the hub will feature specialised chemical storage capabilities as well as new technologies and facilities.
Yang Kee Logistics invests S$45m in chemical logistics hub

The company is investing S$45 million into the first phase of a one-stop chemical logistics hub.
The investment is expected to quadruple the company's turnover contribution to 20 per cent by 2012.
Come 2011, the first such one-stop hub in Singapore will feature new technologies to improve productivity, reduce carbon footprint and increase the company's foothold in the sector.
The company expects cost-savings to be significant.
Ken Koh, deputy managing director, Yang Kee Logistics, said: "We estimate to reduce our cost by S$2.7 million a year. This reduction comes from owning our facility, from reduction in costs of ownership, and also by synergising our operations"
